Can I change my event after registering?
If I am unable to participate in the race, can a family member or friend participate in my place?

About My Bottle/My Cup Run
What kind of marathon is it?
This is a marathon race conducted using a self-service watering system with participants using their own bottles and cups.
Participants are required to carry their own water bottle and cup.
*Half Marathon and 10km races only
Water bottles and cups will be distributed in advance (along with athlete bibs) to those who request them as a participation prize.

Participants must carry at least one of either a water bottle or a cup.
*Participation with your own hydration gear is also permitted.
How will water be provided?
Water jugs will be placed along the course, allowing you to fill up at your own pace.
Water stations are as follows:
For JAAF registered athletes and semi-elite runners, additional "mini-PET bottles (water)" will be provided as SPs at the 12.0km and 15.6km points of the Half Marathon, and at the 4.5km point of the 10km race.
Regarding Athlete Bibs
Store Pick-up of Athlete Bibs
*Starting September 4th (Fri), the Sapporo Marathon Secretariat will sequentially send exchange emails regarding store pick-up to the registered email addresses of applicants.

If you have lost your athlete bib,
Athlete bibs can be reissued on the day of the event at the "General Reception" next to the main entrance of Makomanai Sekisui Heim Stadium. Please note that a reissue fee for the athlete bib (1,500 yen) will be charged.
How are the athlete bib numbers determined?
1. Invited athletes
2. Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) registered athletes (in order of fastest predicted time)
3. General athletes (in order of fastest predicted time)
Numbers will be determined and assigned in this order.
*If a predicted time is not provided, the time determined by the organizing committee will be used.
*Japan Association of Athletics Federations registered athletes must fill in the required information in the designated fields.
Numbers will be assigned in the order of application.

Where is the starting point?
The 5km, 3km, 2km, and 1km races start in front of Sekisui Heim Stadium (within the park).

≪Points≫
The public road section (approximately 11km) is generally a gentle downhill, and runners will be supported by cheers from spectators along the roadside on Ekimae Street and Odori in the city center. After entering the Toyohira River riverbed, the course heads upstream, resulting in a long, gentle uphill climb, which may feel challenging depending on the wind direction. After entering Makomanai Park, the course follows the park's perimeter paths, which are hilly, making pacing crucial.

The public road section (approximately 3km) is generally a gentle downhill. From near the Munich Ohashi Bridge, the course enters the Toyohira River Riverbed, turns downstream, and then heads upstream for a long, gentle uphill climb. Depending on the wind direction, this may feel challenging. After entering Makomanai Park, the course follows the park's perimeter paths, which are hilly, making pacing crucial.

≪Points≫
The 5km course has a long, gentle slope, then passes by Sekisui Heim Arena and the Salmon Science Museum, followed by a long stretch of gentle undulation. The 1km course is flat with less elevation change.

The checkpoints and times are as follows:
Time limit = 10:10 (40 minutes after the start)
In particular, for the Open 5 km race, if runners do not pass the 2.5 km mark (near Midori Bridge) within 40 minutes of the start, or if race officials determine that they will not reach the finish line, the route may be diverted to shorten the course.
About Timing
How are times recorded?
The Bib Tag Timing System is attached to the athletes’ bibs; please do not remove it, as it does not need to be returned.
Please explain the start procedure.
For the 5K and 1K races, please absolutely refrain from pushing other participants, cutting in line, or making reckless overtaking maneuvers.
When will I find out my finishing time?
Results will also be posted on the official website as soon as they are ready.
When will the digital completion certificate be issued?
What is an official time?
*Times measured from the moment you cross the starting line are not official times but are considered “reference net times.”
What is the Japan Half Marathon Ranking?

What is the HMCC (Half Marathon Challenge Cup)?
The HMCC (Half Marathon Challenge Cup) is a project designed to support “all runners taking on the half marathon challenge.” Runners who complete a participating race are eligible for the following benefits.
“Special Certificates” will be presented to participants who set a personal best, complete their first half marathon, finish the men’s race in under 80 (within 1 hour 20 minutes), or finish the women’s race in under 90 (within 1 hour 30 minutes).

It gets very crowded right before the start time, so please drop off your luggage early.
Lost and Found
After the event, items will be stored at Makomanai Sekisui Heim Stadium (for approximately one month).
